My friend just got a 87 gt. He wants to do the five lug setup. He waould like to have disc in the rear. Also can he fit a 17/10.5 under there. What does he need? I'm pretty sure he needs the 94/95 spindle cause he wants 13" rotors but what about the back?

the north cobra racers bracket(i think thats what its called) so you can run disk in the rear. youll need some rear calipers and some disk from a 94-95.

When I did my cobra conversion there are several things between the fox and the 94 to 95 stuff.
The 94 to 95 axles are 3/4" longer, which an cause tire clearance issues with the quarter panel lip especially with a 10.5" rim. I went with moser 31 spline axles at the stock fox length but ready for the 94 to 95 rotors. I then bought the North Race Cars Brackets as mentioned above to get the calipers in line with the shorter axles. I know you can mod the oe bracket, But I don't like cutting stuff when it comes to the brakes.
A for the front spindles you also want 94 to 95s since the 96s do push the tires outbound about .6" which can cause rubbing up front depending on your offset.
Here are the tires and wheels I fit on my car after rolling the fender lip on all 4 corners, installing three rack limiters and "massaging" the inner wheel wells in the rear. It all clears now with no rub.
255/40/R17s up front with 17x9" rims and 5.9" backspace. Could have ran a little more.
285/35/R8s in back with 18x9.5" rims and 6.4" backspace.
Here is a pic of how she sits with this combo on Eibach sportlines. If he does it, it will be worth it. I don't know if 10.5" rims are gonna fit well if he wants to tuck it like me.
