In general when is the first sign that you need a new clutch? An answer I always got is when the rpm’s are high.

Anyways, I need help to trouble shoot my problem. I can not get into any gear when I put the clutch down all the way. Before this happen, I noticed that every time I get out of first gear I hear a “hisss” sound coming out from the bottom of my car. It sounded like the clutch is releasing pressure. This only happened when I release the clutch in first and reverse. Btw this is on my 89 integra.
Now I cant get even engage into a gear..

any one have this problem before or might know what is going on?
Thanks in advance

Calvin

i hope i didn't... what I can recall is that I was going to shift too third. But I couldnt...then I tried to shift into other gears and it just wouldn’t let me.

Imma buy a clutch and see how it goes from there… does anyone know a good shop that doesn’t charge that much?

Check the level of the tranny fluid first. I know when my Jeep gets low it has a harder time shifting into any gear.
