You may need to use a Q-Tip if it has caked on junk on it (like oil from a k&n filter). Just be very careful when cleaning the wires. Use very very light pressuer on the wires. Your Mustang will run 100% better after you clean the wires.

When I said to use a Q-Tip previously, I meant you should spray the Q-tip with electrical contact cleaner before using it to clean the wires.

dont use any thing to clean the sensor if need be just spray it with the maf cleaner stuff they sell. what happens is you leave a film or q tip material on the wire and it will give the ecu a wrong reading and the car will not run very well. just like the other said just spray and dry.

If your car has a sudden loss of power, you know you screwed up your MAF. I had a bad one and my car was running about a 17.5 on the 1/4 mile. Changed it and went up to 14.9. It was a bone stock 94 vert so no comments on the slow time please. lol
