I just installed my 373's in my car however they make some noise when i put it into reverse. Its not bad, you have to have the engine off to even here it. What needs to be done to eliminate the noise? thanks

Re-install the gears correctly and pray you didn't screw them up already.

haha i realize i need to tear it down, thats not a problem, i just need to figuare out the shim sizes for correct pinion depth... any ideas?? i know you know john, help me out

they call them shims because they are for shimming distance. if they could be measured and applied in every application, they wouldnt call them shims. he cant give you a number, they are different every time

Exactly. It varies by type of ring/pinion, gear ratio, carrier, etc...
