Is the T-5 wiring harness needed to make the conversion possible or not? Or is it just the back-up light harness that will be used? Thanks

There is also the vehicle speed sensor. ( 2 wires ) You may or may not need to hook that up.

There is a reverse/nuetral safety wiring harness you will need to get.If you dont have one,pm me I have a few available
