I want to remove the smog pump on my 85 GT but will i still pass smog.

You wont pass the visual for sure im not sure about to gasses part tho.

Not a chance. The smog pump blows oxygen (air) into the exhaust to help the cats burn HCs. Without it, your HC will be high because the cats won't be able to burn them.

It will still pass without the smog pump, just not visual. I attached the hose fitting to my smog pump eliminator once then hooked up a hose to that. No function just looked like it was still there.
