Was getting onto the highway at WOT, wrapped out 3rd and when i shifted into 4th, car started running rough making a somewhat fluttering sound if i had/have to accelerate, feels like its missing and blue'ish smoke is slightly coming out of the tailpipes. Too dark to see anything under the hood so I limped the car home about 5miles. what should be somethings i can check on? I figure ill check spark plugs in the morning, but what else could it be possibly?

Sounds like you're burning oil...check your coolant(dark milk shake color=head gasket), run compression test(all cylinders Should be within 10% of each other and around 130psi or more?). Anything low like 90 or less in to cylinders next to each other points toward head gasket. Lastly, squirt to or three drops of oil into cylinders with low compression and see if it rises. This points towards piston rings. Since engine is pretty over built, It may not be a mechanical issue. Sometimes sensors tweak out and cause driveability problems. That usually leads to a DTC though. A compression test is pretty cheap and easy to do yourself. It's a good place to start.

well, checked out my spark plugs and the 2nd one from the front on the passanger side was somewhat loose and has a lil bit of oil on the spark plug, not sure what oil on the spark plug means but i dont think it can be too good, what does that mean? ![[Frown]](frown.gif)

Do you have a small pulley on it? If so, there is a good chance you popped off the top ring land on 1 piston (or more). Take a look at the plugs for cyl's 4, 7, and 8 to see if there is any damage to the ground strap.

Ive been busy the past couple of days so i havent been able to get around to doin a compression check, let alone going to the auto store to pick up the tool to do it. Havent been able to do any more mods, have parts still sitting in room just no time to get those on either.
You wanna buy some CCW's with new tires ![[Big Grin]](biggrin.gif)
