It is NOT an authentic Saleen. Saleen never offered an "S302". It is a clone despite the badging in the engine bay (an item that usually shows up on Ebay). Saleen only offered the S351 in '94-'95 in three versions: naturally aspirated, R-code (supercharged) and SR. But they were all 351s. The S281s were introduced in '96. There was never an SN95 5.0L version called an S302. Don't let the seller into fooling you that it is an authentic Saleen. You can easily authentic a Saleen by calling Team Saleen with the VIN of the vehicle.

They were referred to as S302's from Saleen. It's no different than the S351 or SSR designation. You are correct though, they were not badged as S302's, only the S351 and SSR received the badges. In 2005, the S302 designation was given to the Parnelli Jones race team.
Call Saleen and run the VIN. 949-597-4900

If it still has the original paint there should be a number painted on top of the front bumper in front of the headlight. There should also be a plaque on the dash as well as one on the engine side of the firewall. As stated earlier, you can call Saleen with the vin and they can tell you if it is one of their cars. Not sure, about 1995, but I think the saleen name is on the seat backs also. [ August 18, 2006, 10:46 PM: Message edited by: 1quik69 ]
