Any tips on passing smog. I Tried a Few but WTF! I failed it 2 weeks ago, so I took it to a shop that knows somewhat about smog, they said it needs a tune up and new 02's, so I tune it up and get new 02's. Saturday I took it to get a re-test and it failed again, only that this time it passed 1 of the 2 tests. Okay so the Tech tells me he'll run it again in about 30min and he say's drive it on the freeway and come back. I hop on the freeway drive to Fremont swoop up my cousin, head back to the smog shop. I wait about 30min. he runs it again and this time the numbers were way off and I fail again. He said the engine was to hot. WTF. he said he fucked up because he didn't know it was dual exhaust. this cat seemed hella PUZZLED. My cousin knows this cat by coincidence and he did't charge me a dime. All this over SMOG. Any Advise would help?I can post up the numbers if anyone knows about smog!

Post up your results. It could be your cats or your EGR valve. However, until you post up your numbers it will be hard to tell.

If you are running 14* timing put it back to stock 10*, this made the difference in me passing last time.

The high hydrocarbons could be caused by the high flow cats, try the stock 4 cat h-pipe.
The high nox is caused by the egr system not allowing enough exhaust gases back into the combustion chamber. make sure that the egr hoses from the egr valve to the solenoid aren't cracked/leaking.
Also, check the hoses from your smog pump to the metal tube going down to the cats. If there are any leaks, the smog pump cannot provide enough downstream air to the cats to burn off the excess fuel.
