hey guys i have a quick question,

i was planing on buying an off road h-pipe with matching headers and installing them this week and i mentioned it to my dad who is a mechanic too see if he could help me do the install and such, and he said no problem.. however...

he mentioned it to someone he works with and they told him that going with the off-road h-pipe without the cats could burn up the valves in the engine and cause problems later down the line

i was wondering if anyone knew if this could happen or what not, or how often it happens.. maybe he is just trying to go the safe way because he's a mechanic and all...any input is helpful [Smile]

thanks for reading [patriot]

EDIT: sorry the car is:
91 mustang gt 5.0
BBK cold air
MSD ignition
Pullies
2 chamber flows
the engine was rebuilt, the guy i bought it from didnt know the exact info on it

the guy your dad works with is a retard and your dad should get him fired.

I'm a bit concerned with your dad being a mechanic even getting worried about it.

you dont need "matching headers" to run an off-road h, they are made to fit the stock headers, it's like a 2 hour swap on jackstands.

Can you please give us the name and location of the shop so everyone knows not to take their cars there? [patriot]
