Author Topic: Crate Cobra motor swap into 98 GT- Smog legal? iron281 ¯ Member # 80 posted                              I'm speaking of the "current" Mach 1 Engine that Ford sells as a crate engine. Any legal issues involved with dropping this motor into my 98 GT? Has anyone here done anything like this? So if you have a 98GT and put an 03 Mach 1 power plant in it, then you'll need to necessary 03 Mach 1 thing to go with it. After all is said and done, you smog the car as the same car you took the motor out of. So, instead of smogging it as a 98gt it gets smogged as a mach 1 -------------------- FOUR EYED PRIDE!!!!!!
