Ok, so I have an 89 fox with a 5lug conversion. I bought the car like this. It has the svo style hubs up front, and the rear axles are from something I have no idea. I know the axles stick out about a 1/2 inch farther than a stock one would. Because of this, my rims and tires in the rear stick out a lil further than the fender. If I hit a dip on the freeway it rubs(not bad, but it's annoying). The rear has to sit higher than the front because if I lower it(which is what I want to do) it will rub even more. Is there anything I can do? I read somewhere on another site that there are something refered as "fox length axles" that are the correct length and will allow me to lower the rear end without having this rubbing issue. Is this correct? What can I do?

You probably have SN-95 axles (94-up Mustangs) or something similar. Get a set of right side ranger axles OR purchase some nice, brand new, hardened axles from summit specifically made for fox bodies.

yes they are. Again I do not know what year the rear end came from. Also I don' know if it's the stock rear end with newer style axles, or a full complete rear end that came from a newer car.
