-GT-40 heads -Cobra intake manifold -e cam -long tubes, catless x, catback -cai, underdrive pulleys 70mm throttle body and 75mm mass air.
whats a basic trap speed for that setup? also is there a better intake and off ther shelf cam for that combo?
edit: forgot this will be in a 94gt 5 speed [ May 10, 2006, 03:49 PM: Message edited by: Daniel50 ]

there are plenty better cams then the E-cam, somebody else can tell you that. You might want to look into a performer or Performer RPM intake. But I don't think you are gona trap much more then 104/105 or something in that area or probably less???

My brother has GT-40 y303 aluminum heads with an E cam and Holley Systemax intake, Shorty headers and 4.10's on his stock 302 and he has trapped 111.8. I ported the heads though, thats why his combo runs so good.

Daniel, that combo should do 105-106, as you mentioned...
Substitute the heads for AFR or TFS and port the Cobra lower, lose the e303 and get a custom or a better suited OTS cam and 110-112+ is possible. [ May 17, 2006, 01:57 PM: Message edited by: Luke87GT ]

Your brother also trapped 105 with the same stock longblock that Daniel had in his 92 and went 102.

yep, it's been down over a year I think now, broke a bolt in the timing cover, broke an ez-out in that bolt, can't get it out.
he then bought and rebuilt another shortblock (rings and bearings) and it's just sitting in the garage, ready to bolt the oil pan on and heads/top end.
I dont live close enough to go over there and drop it in for him either
