How about a 331 w/ 8.5:1 compression? You should make screamin' power with this setup.

I'M NOT ON TO MUCH OF A BUDGET, WHAT WOULD BE THE PRICE RANGE FOR SOMETHING LIKE THT, RACE BLOCK, OR A 331.

WHAT IM TRYING 2 DO IS MAKE MY CAR FASTER THAN MY CAMARO, MY 2000 SS RUNS 11.9 CONSECUTIVE ON ALL MOTOR.. BUT I AM A FORD MAN & I'M READY TO GET BACK TO MY ROOTS.. I WOULD LIKE A LOW 11.SEC CAR. IS THIS POSSIBLE WITH THE COMPONENTS THT I CURRENTLY HAVE..

To be quite frank, I seriously think that to go 11's you definately need a better intake.... I.E. Performer 2/ Trickflow Track Heat/ Holley Systemax- And also you need to step it up on the heads, AFR 185's if not 205's depending on the power you would be producing, also look into those Anderson SC cams for use under boost, theese cams kicks azz.... dont listen to the above guy , people have gone 10's with much less, on a stock shortblock no less
the p600 is kind of a lame blower, but it will work as long as the oil seals dont blow (very common)
which edelbrock intake is it

If your not on much of a budget, sell all the stuff you have and slap a turbo kit on it, I am almost positive I'll be running 11's, hopefully 10's with my turbo kit, as long as I can get traction.
-------------------- Yellow94GT never touched anyone's sig or banned anyone, so I'm going to quit spreading that rumor. It's not like I have any proof anyways. All yellow94gt and other mods have done is volunteer their time to help other people buy/sell parts, learn how to make their cars go faster and meet fellow enthusiasts. I'm a hater, but it's hard to hate on these facts. I have saved hunrdeds, maybe thousands of dollars here buying and selling parts over the years alone, but I don't care, this website owes me damnit, and I'll piss on it as much as I want. Us haters gonna hate. Why contribute to something when you can take for free? I act like I'm@Age15 I make friends on the internet that are@Age18 I was picked on in my youth so I became a bully@Age24 My mouth started to run 24/7 on the internet, but my car never at the track@Age26 First pubic hair@Age30 Troll@Age31 My internet friends and I ALL just got the boot for good!@Age31 Yes, you read it right, 31 and just as childish as my fresh out of highschool internet friends@31 Oh yeah, this isn't my website, so no one has to ask for my permission to change my sig. Hell, not like I pay the CAFORDS bill, so why should they need my permission to put what they want on their site? We're all guests here. Maybe some of us should start acting like guests or leave? I'd say you could get into the 11's simply by changing your suspension/tires to something more drag orientated. You don't need that much hp to go 11's in the quarter mile. If you want to attain a certain mph at the end of the runs...well that is a different story and more hp/tq is needed.
