I know some guys who have been in the speedshop and racing deal for years, who really know their stuff, and they wont go near those things... too hairy.
but come to think of it, I think mines totally gone, I can feel it one leggin when I got autocrossin, try to slide it out and have some fun, but its just spinnin...
I did a brake stand too, and only the passenger rear spun. it was depressing. how much would a rebuild cost in parts?

I believe you can get the parts from ford for around a 100, and you can get them from summit for about half that i believe. Phat50 did the posi on my 86 and it came out perfect, and lasted for about 4 years and still working when i sold it.

FMS-M-4700-B, goes for about $40 through Summit.
If you are going to put any real power through it, or just wanna get Hyphy!, upgrade to a Truck S spring or you're wasting your time.

The parts are pretty cheap, you wont be dissaponted, you can get the spring that johnB is talking about but you dont have to. the kit that you will buy will actually come with shims that are different sizes so that it will put more pressure on the original spring so you will have a nice two wheel spin with no problems, no more one wheel spins so you can have a better lanch at the track or if you just like to do dounuts.let me know if need more information. I'm having the EXACT same issue as "Spitfire" Ony the passenger rear tire spins Would I have to come to you in Richmond? I'm in SJ and need this done asap.....it's depressing. Car is fun to drive, but with only 1 leg I feel naked. I'd rather have you get the parts and do it....i'd pay for both. Please pm me

It has a Trac-Lok, it's not a "posi". Only Chebby boys refer to it as that.
