I'm thinking of scrapping my 31 spline Eaton Posi and buying a Detroit Locker. My only concern is how streetable a locker is...what will I notice?
Thanks. (btw, 2003 mustang GT w/ 4.30 gears...N/A).

If its a soft locker, all you will notice is once you straiten out the car after a turn,it will transfer power to both tires and you will feel it pull to the side for a second. Some clicking noise, but mostly just the transfer of power ot each axle on and off the gas and turning. The new detroits are pretty liveable. If you get a cheaper locker you will get harsh transfers and lots of noise.

Put a soft locker in Mine about a year ago and it is great on the street and at the strip.

From what I have learned, as long as you get a quality piece, there shouldn't be that much difference between a LS and a DL...as long as you build up teh rear with beefier components.

a mini spool is the worst idea ever, all it is going to do is make driving it a pain, then break or break an axle.

what would you suggest for a drag oriented, street driven vehicle, as far as a strength upgrade for slicks...remmeber I already have the eaton 31 spline and moser axles.
