I just got about 205 miles on a full tank in the LX. does this sound normal for a completely stock mustang?! It got 3.27 rear gears and AOD, new tune up parts(ie: cap/rotor/plugs/wires/pcv/a/f oil change etc) to me it does nt sound right though. your thoughts please? thanks.

Sounds pretty reasonable. Could be better, depending on how you drove it. It is carb'd too, so that could be a contributing factor if its not properly adjusted.

full tank as in how many gallons?

divide the miles traveled by the amount of gallons needed to fill the tank and that gives your mpg.

my 91 gets around 190 miles to a tank usually, really shitty ass milage, but none of it freeway.

I was getting like 23MPG with a stock long block and just about every bolt on you get get. The car is a 5-speed and it had 3.55 gears.

That was on the freeway of course [Smile]

I use to get 300 miles to a full tank in my 87 LX Hatch but after some bolt ons and 3.73's with a lot more city driving than i use to i get about 220, but it seems to be getting worse the more i drive in the city.

I have a 331 stroker with stock gears and I drive 70% freeway and 30% town and I get a about 17.4 MPG. That is about 236 miles per thank. When I drive up to Sac I seem to get more out of the tank. It seems if I drive all freeway 75-80 I get the best mileage.

I have heard guys with 3:73 gears get even better mileage with my combo.

It's supposed to be a 15 gallon tank, but since the 'low fuel' light goes i get paranoid and fill up! [Confused]

i quess about 16.4 miles a gallon! ATI makes a 22 gallon tank for the fox bodies!! [Eek!]

I get 150 miles per tank in both my 347s. Always have, always will. Never more than 10 miles more or less.

They run clean though, low emissions and no richness or wasted fuel. It all goes to power.

Part of that is the car, part is the driver. My wife gets 35mpg in her Honda Pilot. But when I drive it, you can practically see the fuel gauge drop with the naked eye. I get less than 20 in it.
