I have a 95 GT vert with the Aode trans. The car has 3:73 gears, jba headers, flowmaster exhaust. I am getting ready to install iron Gt40 heads and Gt40 intake(not explorer) What are your experiences with these 2 cams and which would you recommend. I also have a 65 mm tb. I am looking at using an 80mm Pro M. Pro M suggested using a 75mm tb whereas Ford Racing said 65 mm. What are your experiences/suggestions as to which tb to run? Thanks in advance for any input.

Definitely use a 65mm tbody. The 75mm is probably too big. I don't have experience with either of those cams but the Trick Flow stage one is a good street legal cam.

I have a 95 with the steeda 19 cam. I got it because it says it helps with the 94/95 computer idle. My idle is fine except when the car is hot and you restart it it has a hard time "finding" idle. I know others have stayed with the stock cam, no idle issues and about the same power so not sure if the hassel is worth it. Car is fully tuned by Byron so the tuning should not be the issue. my 2 cents.

I would suggest staying away from the motorsport cams.

Not to pull you completely away from your question, but I wonder if any of the Comp Xtreme Energy (XE) cams would work well.
They have high vacuum which works well with computer cars and is why they pass smog.
I have an XE cam in my 331 and it passed CA smog with flying colors a couple months ago.
Just a thought.
Also, yaa it seems there is a lot of people talking about running 75mm TB on basically stock motors. Not sure about that one, but it seems it would hurt low end torque.
You could call Comp tech help and see what they say. Those guys have a lot of knowledge.

Changing the cam and a 75mm TB will affect your idle. You will need a tune to get it to idle. The computer ('94-95's are sensitive to this, as they are load-based, and load is calculated by airflow) is expecting a certain amount of airflow at idle, and these things change that value, which throws off the calculations. I personally don't see a big deal with a 75mm on a N/A car, but others do. Mines boosted, so I guess my opinion doesn't count for N/A cars... Anyway, I have a Crane 2031, but if I did it again, I'd go custom.... Dennis

If You are going to stay with the combo for a while why not just spend a couple hundred more and get the custom cam to begin with?
