AFR heads and TrickFlow intakes don't mix.
Call Brian at adperformance.com
He can sell you a 331 shortblock assembled and mailed to CA for around $2200.00. He has the best parts at the best prices. He has a great reputation.
I have had a few problems with CHP stuff on my current motor. Wrong sided pistons, wrong rods, etc.

We sell engines from CHP and Top of the Hill Performance. We've had real good luck with CHP... great product at a great price. We also offer 0% financing on installed engines for up to 1 year.

can someone recommend a good local builder within 100mi of fresno. i would like to give my buisness to a local shop and not a distant builder this way if i have issues i can contact them direct. i really dont want to use HCI or CDT. ive havnt done buisness with them, im sure that they do good work, but the things that ive seen their reps post recently is horrible. im afraid that their customer service attitude is the same as their forum attitude, and lately my own personal opinion its not been good.
HCI and CDT i dont want to sound like im bashing you guys but your post speak for themselves.
so back to my question can anyone recommend any local builders. thanks [ January 18, 2006, 01:01 AM: Message edited by: stangboi ]

CDT doesn't build motors. he tunes cars, does custom engine installs, and ANY bolt on part you can throw at him for ANY car.
HCI does build motors.
both are GREAT shops. they do great work, and both have excellent customer service. i've never seen any negative posts by either shop, and i've been here for quite sometime now. maybe you got them confused with someone else?
