as some of you know i just got done with a sc install.couldnt resist i had to dog it.well now i got white smoke coming out of the exhaust when the engine get hot.dont know if the headgasket is blown.but what ive notice my radiator over flows too much and no heat comes out of the heater.(thermostat)which i bought this today and new radiator cap.i hope its just this but i think it might also be the head gasket.no oil
in the radiator or no water in the oil.

wwhat do you guys think?

Nice setup man [Smile] Check the radiator and see if the coolant looks muddy. Also check the oil and see if it looks the same.

BTW, what is your combo and how much boost are you running?

it bubbles.but i found out why.i thought it was the thermostat,so i replced it (upper hose gets fat, like the thermostat dont want to open).after i did that same thing happened exept all of a sudden it flowed then the heater inside the car
got hot so i thought it was fixed.then no heater again check the upper hose seems like thermostat
stuch close again which i cant believe.came to a conclusion that the water pump is busted.no leaks on the hole of the pump but maybe the impeler inside is bad.will keep you guys posted.

please keep the suggestions coming to help eliminate some causes.

did you bleed the cooling system really well when you replaced the thermostat? It sounds like you have air trapped in the system

I had a combo similar to that before I did my heads. Put a nice grin on my face when I hit the boost and skee skurtd [burnout]

I was at the light one time and saw my friend so I mean I had to show off. At the next light my car shut off, temp shot up sky high, and my exhaust looked like a sauna. You can probably guess why I ended up doing the heads [Wink]

How bad did you dog it, mine didn't last two full tanks of gas [Whoo Whooooo!]

sounds blown, you don't always get coolant in the oil or vice versa w/ a blown headgasket. if you want to know for sure, do a compression test.

you could try pulling the plugs and rotating the engine, when my buddy blew his head gasket we checked it that way and water came from the # 7 and 8 plug hole

That is a good idea if you don't have access to a compression tester.

When you finally get your problem sorted you should consider using an FMU and a BTM until you get a tune. This will add a margin of safety.
