ok, since i got this 84 LX I wanna know what i can do body wise with some later maodel parts. Here goes...

1) can I change the 1/4 windows to say like an 1988 LX?

2)Can I put 88' all red LX rear lenses on the rear without modification and will the plugs still be the same?!

3)I s this waterpump reverse rotation (it has the serpentine belt)

4)can I swap rear for an 8.8 and still use the 84 rear brakes and if not will the brake lines still be the same size?

5)will the GT say 1988-89 lower body kit (ie: side and rear bumper cover and front lower fender extensions) fit or what will it take to install?

6)How hard would it be to convert it to carburated?! ( i like carbs) would the O2 sensor and the comp would be thrown off?

thanks for all your input.

Ernesto

1. yes but it would have to be out a coupe.
2. yes but you will have to change out the signal/hazard lights to amber instead of clear.
3. They all run serpentine belts stock.
4. When you get the rear end get complete from drum to drum hualinassmaro always has some for sale.
5. Don't do the body kit you have a notch its the lightest body style keep it that way.
6. Isn't your already carburated they weren't efi untill '86.

his car is cfi.

and if the 7.5" rear has the same brakes as my 4cyl did than the brake line runs up the wrong side of the chassis, all you'll need to do to make the 8.8 rear drum work is get the rear hardline out of a 86-93 from the junction block on the passenger side all the way to the rear (its one peice from that point)

the 8.8 drum brake line runs up the passenger side framerail looking thing and the junction where it connects to the flex line to hook up to the rear axle is right in the center above the driveshaft bolts near the pinion snubber bumpstop
