I put 280/280 to the tires with E cam,185's, and a Holley systemax thru an aod. Then with 8 pound's of boost I put 370rwhp. Will have new #'s with an f cam and alot more boost on thursday. ![[burnout]](graemlins/burnout.gif)

MMM F-cam I want to one of those for my combo as well.
A lot of blown applications use the Systemax Intake. I believe there was one for $400 on Ford Sale awhile ago. A used intake would be the best deal.

bigger isnt always better...if your motor cant support it, too big of an intake will make your car feel gutless

I don't see why You would'nt put down 300 rwhp with the holley and they are also great blower intakes as well for later.

The Typhoon is a good intake for the money and is as good as the rest if you port it a bit. For blower applications the Trick Flow is really good as is the Holley. The Ford Cobra intake is also pretty good for the money.

What if you have more then 425hp on your motor?
The gt-40 intake is good up to 425hp air flow and the cobra intake is only good up to 350hp-400hp air flow. I see a lot of mustangs with those intakes running more then 500hp. Are those intakes worthless if you got more then 425hp? [ January 02, 2006, 08:26 PM: Message edited by: 86 coupe ]

If you open up the lowers on the GT40 or Cobra they will be more than good enough for most people. The Ford units are really good for power in the lower power band, which is where 90% of the people will drive it anyway. [ January 02, 2006, 08:34 PM: Message edited by: Apexmotorsports ]

What a load of crap, lol. Where did you read that?
If you want real flow numbers between the Cobra, GT40, and Explorer, go to the website of a guy named TMOSS on the corral. He is a very respected porter and well known on the site.
He has flow numbers on all 3 intakes and they were almost identical between the three.
YOU WON"T GAIN ANY HP BY INTERCHANGING THE 3 INTAKES!
Now go my apostle, and preach the good accurate word (:

you could go with the edelbrock performer and it can be ported later if you decide to go with the supercharger down the road, or the rpm2
