x pipes have more of that exotic car sound and the h pipe has more of a muscle car sound

x pipes are mellow at idle and loud and raspy when you get on it. I wasn't sure if I liked my x pipe when I first put it on but it has grown on my and I like it now

got a bbx offroad x pipe on my 91 gt and regarless of what people say, an x pipe on a 5.0 still sounds good. just my opinion. plus you get better flow with the x pipe than the h.

No you don't. An X pipe puts a forced restriction on the two flow paths of the exhuast. Where as a H-pipe is a straight through design with a balancer tube. Cars pushing larger volumes of air will notice a restriction when using an x over an h. [ December 10, 2005, 02:30 PM: Message edited by: 1Sicgt ]
