I have a 91 gt. it has a forged bottom end with 9.6 to 1 c/r. edelbrock 1.90/1.60 box stock performers and a trick flow stage 1 cam. the manifold is a gt40 and it has a 73mm c&l and a 70mm tb. 24 lb. injectors and 3.73's. the car is at full weight. any ideas on what it would run with stock suspension with street tires or with drag radials? i now its hard to say but just an approximation of what the setup is capable of.
also any ideas on a baseline to set the fuel pressure at.
thanks Nick

mid 13's, get slicks and run 12's. get it tuned, and upgrade your suspension and brakes. no sense having the power if you can't stop it.

I'm gonna say low low 13's on slicks. The intake is a restriction.

You have a similar combo to mine, but I'm running the stock cam. I have a 5sp coupe so I have a small weight advantage. I run low 13s on slicks, mid 13s on street tires. This is on a 160K shortblock so I'm sure I'm giving up some hp there. If you could get the 60ft in the 1.7 range you could get a high 12.

this seems a litle wierd to me because my friend had a lx that had a stock 80k bottom end with a b cam and 1.7's it had the same heads as me and it had a tfs manifold, and his wasnt even geared he was hanging with a 12.20 zo6 from a 20mph roll. another friend had a stock lx with only a k&n filter and full exhaust, on street tires he ran a 13.9. i am not saying you guys are wrong but just wondering why such a high time
thanks for the replies-nick

SAme here.
Stock 5.0 longblock, TB/MAF shorties and gears and I ran 13.3 at 102 on NItto drag radials. If you can learn how to launch and get your 60ft's down, then 12's will not be a problem (but not on street tires).
Here is how I gained .5 seonds learning how to power-shift and launch

Into the 12's w/ Heads+Intake and stock cam, stock cat-pipe!-->

MAC Prochamber but still stock cam, 109mph!--> http://www.fordmuscle.com/archives/2002/10/mac/index.shtml
Typhoon intake, custom cam, longtubes, lots of tuning and LOTS of driving-
hit 11's.

What are your 60ft's? Both chassis setup and driving skill are a BIG part of low ET's.

i have aluminum heads.. a really mild cam and trickflow track heat intake(also supporting mods-injectors- maf etc..). my time was 13.5 at 107.52 with a 2.07 on street tires. that was my first time driving this car and first time driving this combo too. after that i got a 13.15 at 106.4 with a 1.923. i've only gotten two runs so far do u think it'll be possible to hit 12s? what should i launch at? i'll have et streets this sunday? thanks. And I went 11.0 with 450 at the rear....
Purplenotch, you've got to be running 3.08s (or close to that) for a gear...

High 12's on street tires are possible with optimal conditions. If you had to put aluminum heads on a 5.O running slicks to run 13's they would be extinct.

The Phantom has spoken, Don. But just because Scott or Drew can do it doesn't mean anyone can...

I hear ya Jim. That car with the suspension etc will NOT POSSIBLY run 12's on street tires.
