I used the self-diagnostic tool on my 01' Cobra by just holding the odometer reset. Under DTC it said "none," but the service engine light is still on. I just installed some MIL eliminators(the cheap splice and solder) and they don't seem to be working. I think the resistor is bad? Should I get an OBDII scan at Apex or another shop? see if you have a buddy with one, or a buddy that has a predator... it will still pull your codes But if the dash method didnt work for pulling a code, this may not work...
double check the resistor installation too. [ November 13, 2005, 08:19 PM: Message edited by: 94gt ]

When you depressed the odometer reset button for a few seconds, a self test for the instrument cluster module was run. The check engine light is still on because the self test you ran can only check the HEC module, not the powertrain control module. The only way to read a check engine light code is to connect a scan tool to diagnostic port.

I brought it to Jeff's shop and he had a datalogger. Well the codes that showed up were for o2 sensor bank 1 & 2, both sensor 2. It's good to know that worse case scenario is just replacing both o2 sensors. Thanks for all your comments and suggestions.
