I have a crack in my stock 1967 Mustang Coupe dash pad and want to replace it. Any tips on installation? Difficult? Straightforward? Recommendations on companies who make dash pads suitable for show quality vehicles?
Thanks!

Basically if you want it to look good you have have take out your windshield. Id say if youre not handy with a trim tool it is difficult. I had a local mustang shop do mine, I wasn't about to take my windshield out and scratch the paint by the trim. By show quality do you mean concourse or custom? Any dash pad you get will be close to concourse.

Since your going the stock purist route there should be no question spend the big bucks on a NOS dash pad. I bought an american made reproduction and even with that one I wasnt too impressed with the quality. As far as doing it yourself goes, if you take your time and have an eye for detail it should look fine but, if you try to rush it you could ruin that expensive dashpad you just bought. Might be a good idea to find a shop thats done a few, could save money in the long run.

FYI, you probably want to replace your headliner if need be at this point too. To do a dash pad or headliner install correctly so it looks good, the windshield has to be removed, also the rear glass for the headliner.
