I got a 86 coupe. I want to buy the 87-93 lx red tail lights. Would they fit? I have seen them on other 85-86 mustangs. Should I just buy the lens or the LX Tail Lamp Assembly Kit? Is there a modification I need to do so it can fit? Please help me out here. Thanks!

yes they will fit no problem. all you need is the lens...

all i ask is, why on earth would you do that...the 83-86 lights look WAY better. [patriot]

They will fit, you just need to clean out the old silicone that held the old lenses in place to make sure the new lenses go in right. Id put some new silicone in the gap though, to keep moisture and condensation out [Smile] ditch the old lenses, they're fukkin ugly!!!

any auto parts store will stock it. Dont use too much though, as it will ooze out when you press the lenses in

You also need to switch out your turn signal light from the clear one you have to a yellow one. Thats about it. In my opinion your making the right choice I like the 87-93 style lenses a lot better
