Ok i bought me a 160 degree thermostat and when i try to loosen the bolts to the thermostat housing they turn like two or three turns and then tihten up and it feels like they want to break or something, i have had a freind break his stuff because its like plastic or something and dont want to break anything should i just loosen all the way.

just to be safe, go and buy some liquid wrench, spray it on, then try, if its still hard.. just keep going slowly... either way they have to come out for you to install the new thermos... good luck
