I am trying to figure out how to do the timing on my 90 mustang 5.0. I am not sure if I have done the top dead center right. When I try to start it, all it does is turn over.

If it's not starting, and you've disturbed the original distibutor position, start from scratch. [Smile]

Put the #1 cyl on TDC (compression stroke) and stab the distibutor in pointing to the #1 position on the cap. More than likely, it will point directly to the passenger side bolt on the upper to lower intake plenum.

Make sure it is completely seated prior to bolting it down; this will make sure you're completely on the oil pump interconnect shaft.

Good luck!

Oh, and set it to 10* with the spout disconnected. This is a good starting point. [Big Grin]
