Check your starter solenoid, do the old screwdriver trick- while the key is in the ON position hold the screwdriver so that it makes a connection for the two terminals on the solenoid. Also the starter isnt that hard to take off especially since its only 2 bolts, and take it down to your local vatozone or parts store and have it tested. Good luck keep us posted so we can narrow stuff down

where is the starter located? is it on the driver side in between the battery and strut tower?

my car just started rite now, but i still dont trust it. i ended up adjusting the position of the terminal cables on the terminals. i guess they were not making adequate contact. i was planning on taking my car to pep boys so they could test my whole electrical system tomorrow. do u guys suggest a different course of action?

make sure the terminal connections are CLEAN and TIGHT. Just because it's easy to twist them on doesn't mean they should stay that way. Break out the 13mm wrench and snug'em down!

well, i j ust took my car to pep boys today to have them check my charging system. i think they checked m y battery, starter, and alternator. at first, they said that the test revealed a problem somewhere in my electrical system. then they ran the test twice more but my car passed both times wt no indication of something being wrong. so, they said to their standardsd my car was fine. but they refferd me to an electrical shop just to make sure. wut do u guys think could be the problem? should i have them focus on one aspect like my alternator? also, do any of u guys know how much it would cost to replace the battery terminal cables? thanks

Each battery cable is under $10 each at an auto parts store. They are easy to replace. Make sure you clean the battery terminals, make sure the new cables are on all the way and tightened down, next spray the terminals with some battery protector and sealer(also at any parts place).
I wouldnt worry about any other parts of the electical system until this is done.

Hsave you checked the water in the battery? I bought a crappy Costco battery one time and less than a year later my car did the same thing yours is.
I thought it was everything except the battery since it was so new. Then for the hell of it I checked the water and two cells were dry! Some distilled water and I was on my way.
Good luck

I don't thinks its his TFI Module. Normally if that goes out you will still have all your power (lights, radio, dash lights, windows etc) in the car. Also the car should still turn over with a bad TFI but just not fire.
Maybe there is a drain, bad ground or like he said the terminal cables are shot. Any work been done to the car before symptoms started?
