Definately one of the most noticable mods that I did to my stang. As far as 4:30's I would say go for it but I have a fox with an auto so I don't have alot of experience with the 2000 gt's amd could'nt really tell ya if they would be to much for the street. Is this your daily driver & how many miles do you drive per day? Do you take the car to the track much?

my buddy has 3.73s in his 1999gt auto and it is still slower than molasses in january... So, I say go for the 4.30's.
Note: he only has CAI and full exhaust.

yes it is daily driver but my work is not even a mile away..more like 5 mintues
in 5 months of owning this car i have only put roughly 1700 miles on it...which is pretty good to me.
so 4:30s it is!

Gears are the best mod if you are not going forced induction. However, even though your work is very close, what about when you have to drive further? 4.30s would suck on the freeway imo.

i think 4.30 are to much on your car for a daily driver, but if u are going to used the car only for dra racing then i will say go ahead, 4.10 are really good gear for a 4.6 cause is good on the street and on the track.

if you go with the 4.30s, you really need to get a drag radial. traction was horrible with my 4.10s on the stocker tires, i couldnt even get on it in first without smokin the tires.
now with the nitto 555r's, its a little better

Go with 4.10s unless this is going to be a dedicated all motor car. 4.30s limit you a little to much for 1/4 mile top speed.

If ya go with too much gear you can always put a taller tire on that beast, or have someone give ya a ride in a car with at least 4:10's.

Correct me if im wrong but shouldnt it be 4.10:1 instead of 4:10??
That would be one hell of an over drive.
