Hello everyone. I have a question regarding a battery, its totally dead unless i jump start.
I have a problem with keeping the battery charged after i turn the car off.
The problem was that i left a 1200 dc invertor on over night that was powering a 50" plasma.
I was told to leave engine on while running plasma and someone else left it on overnight.
Its on a H2. Does anyone know how I can recharge the battery to stay charged completly ?
Is there a place I can pay to have battery recharged, I dont want to replace battery.
thanks

Sounds like you may have killed your battery. See if one of your friends has a battery charger and try charging it overnight.
If it doesn't hold a charge then I would take it somewhere and have it tested.

once you've jumped your car, how long do you drive it for? your alternator should do all the charging you need it to do.

Wait a second.... You own a H2 with a plasma screen and you don't want to buy a new battery even though you killed it on accident? I could understand the tight budget guy trying to squeeze some life out of his battery but with the money you already spent, why not just buy a new battery dude?
I apologize if I come off rude; not my intention. I am just curious.

I agree if you charge the battery only for it to fail on you later the tow and loss of time will be more of a headache than just replacing it.

Thanks everyone for your opinions, comments and suggestions, all were greatlly appreciated.
It wasnt about spending the $ 125 for a new batterey, compared to the $ 52K on the H2 spend and $ 6K on the 50 inch plasma, just the hassle.

Optima doesn't offer a lifetime warranty. Not sure I've ever seen a battery manf that does, for examples shown here in this thread.
By the way, where the hell is the brake problem or the 911 in this post?? ghey [ August 09, 2005, 02:37 AM: Message edited by: cheap ]
