i have an 302 in a 1970 mustang and it has a edelbrock rpm airgap 1500-6000rpm. at wot no matter what rpm there is a short stumble then everything is ok. i am thinking that maybe because the long rummers that this manifold is not for this car. basically a stock 302. fuel pump is fine, 660cfm demon carb brand new. (did the same thing with the edelbrock carb) so basically the only thing that hasnt changed is the manifold.

I was running an old Torker 289 on my stock 302 years ago, never had any trouble and it was a single plane manifold. sounds like a problem with the accelorator pump.

I agree some tuning of the accelerator pumps and the squirters should be done. Like any Holley type carb, they always need to be fiddled with.

At what RPM does this happen? Is this only happening when you punch it to the floor or after it is already floored.

that is a little overkill on the intake for a stock motor. What ignition setup are you using?? We do dyno tunes for carb. cars also. Soot me an email or give me a call if you would like more info on getting it done.

it has an MSD ignition system. the only time it does it is when it is about 3/4 throttle. like it wants to die but then opens up and runs like normal. at any rpm it will do this.

I had an Edelbrock carb that was junk. I got it brand new and it ran good for a few months then it took a shit. I rebuilt it a couple times and never got it to run right again. I will only run a Holley or BG.

If that is true, why is there a tuning guide w/ each carb and a metering rod, spring and jet kit available?
