I have these front lower control arms on my 92 convertible. Does anyone if these arms increase front track width at all. The reason I am asking is because I have an SN-95 (from a 95) front spindles setup, powerslot rotors, and 18x9's (24mm offsett/5.95 BS)and the wheels are sticking out in the front around 3/4" to 1". I have checked out another car who had the same setup (except for the new Front LCA's) in the front and his wheels were not sticking out at all they were flush w/ the fenderwells. I don't understand where I went wrong
thanks

I did and they said they don't think so. If that is true then where does the problem lie

I put the ford LCA's on a guys car when I did the '95 5 lug conversion to it, and his 17x8 98 Cobra's stick out. I think that with your rims being even wider 9" wide they stick out even further. [ June 16, 2005, 04:48 PM: Message edited by: SilverLX351 ]

you cant really tell in the pic if the wheels are sticking out. it appears to be tucked in.
i saw gus' setup yesterday. definitely it doesnt sound right and appears to be an A arm problem cuz everything else sounds right. [ June 16, 2005, 06:22 PM: Message edited by: venomous99 ]

Did you use washers or spacers on the ball joints?
If you didn't, you've got the SN ones...and they will push the track out.

They are FOX LCA's with SN95 Ball joints, if you were talking to me...

I have those same arms and they do NOT increase track. It is the FMS-M-3075-D that will increase track on a fox since they are made for 94-up Luke

I am assuming you just did the install. If that is the case have you brought it to an alignment shop yet. When I did cobra brake conversion to sn95 stuff my tires with the same width and backspace as yours stuck out. Once I got my alignment done, they found I had positive camber like a MF so they got it within spec, thus pulling the tire back in.

I didn't run spacers on the ball joints I think these FLCA's come with the 96 ball joints. Could you take a look at it for me when I come out there? I'll never be able to run my H&R springs if I don't fix this problem
Thanks
Thanks John

Alignment was already done . I am wondering since I have seen someone else w/ the same setup up front w/ the exception of the new FLCA's, could they be the culprit

I'm probably gonna have to swap these A-arms for some stockers. This sucks BIG TIME cause I just bought these FLCA's from MM. Wasted money . I hope they tuck back in once I do the swap or I'm gonna roll my car off a cliff [ June 22, 2005, 09:13 AM: Message edited by: 1992gtdrop ]

I had the same problem but mine was the spindles are you sure those are not 1996 spindles because they will push your track width out about 1/2 inch enough to look just like your picture and Phildog is my witness he did the work! And LCA's were new from Maximum Motorsports

double check..quadruple check the spindles. nothing is worse than swapping out your new A arms for some older ones only to find out the issue was the spindles being from a 96-98
