i dont know what it is, someone told me this may be why my air bag light flashes all the time

It is most likely the cause of your air bag light flashing. It is a fairly large circular part inside of your steering column. Takes about 20 minutes to get to MAX. I changed mine by myself for the first time ever doing it with no problems.
