Strong odor of gas fumes in cas ONLY when car has 1/4 tank or less. Any ideas. Seems that injector O rings, and fuel pressure issues would be noticeable even with a full tank of gas, but I only get fuems when the tank is low [dance] . What gives? Thanks for any help.

maybe the oring around your fuel tank sending unit is bad. The reason you don't get the smell when its full is that, its full, the more gas in a tight constricting area the less fumes.

I'll have to check that. I did replace the sending unit a while back, but re-used the gasket. Sucks, that's probably a $.50 gasket too. [Mad]

Yeah if you fooled around with it a couple of months ago thats probably your problem then. My Jeep does the same thing, but i only smell the fumes when i get out of the Jeep not inside it.
