can you swap spindle's side to side ?
if you can then it's cake to put a rack in.
the spindles look like they are.
any input would be good.
might just swap and set on ground to see.

cake? LOL

Wait until you get into turning lock to lock. bump steer and increased turning radius. Brake lines need to be extended. No room for oil pan and crossmember and rack. length from spindle to spindle tie rod end that fits the hole...need I say more.

what do you mean can they be swapped? yes it will bolt on, but you are going to end up with tie rod mounts in the front of the wheel rather than behind. [Confused]

yes. this is the point. if you do that you can fab a mount for a rack.
then fab parts using 5.0 as example.

well there is a lot to doing it.
First off your whole steering systems gets an adios and you will most likey have to fabricate a new motor mount for drivers side.
Also your gonna need to fabricate a crossmemeber for the R&P to bolt up.
Not to mention modifying your steering collum and getting the u-joints that mount the box to a shaft and shaft to the collum.
As for brakes you need lengthened lines from the brake cylinder/caliper. But thats just the start of the nightmare.
But the spindles will work. You can buy rear steer racks so you dont need to change out your oilpan for it to clear. And dont need to swap the spindles to the other side.

Either way it is not the easist project in the world but it is doable.

If it ain't a V8 I don't want to hear about it!

My car may not be the fastest out there but your girlfriend sure likes it.
