So say i take in my car to get smoged checked..and it doesn't pass. Will it get reported to the DMV or who ever is in charged of that dept. up in Sacramento? I'm just concerned about the car having a "not passed" on it's smog record. when so far it's had a "clean record".
Oh yeah i might add that it's not the Slug rather a little bucket i've been working on to save some gas $$. Had it the registered as non op. for 2 yrs now so.. now that i want to start driving it..i have to get it smoged. Hence my question.
Oh yeah. So what do you guys recommen i do before i take in the car? So far i'm going to do the following this weekend..Oil change, Spark Plugs, Air/Gas filters change...and running the car before the test to warm up the cats. What about the fuel addatives/fuel injector cleaners treatments? Anything else?
Any "No pass-No pay" Smog stations down here in San Jose? Thanks [ March 07, 2005, 02:20 PM: Message edited by: AZTECLX ]

Do a pre-test before they actually do the real one. That way if it fails the pretest they won't do the real test and notify the DMV

Not positive on this, but I heard if you fail twice they send you to a smog ref. Might want to look in to that.
