I have a 68 stang with a ford 6 bladed fan not flex. Will flex fans cool anymore????? or bring any more air flow ??

If you are just replacing the fan blade then you'll be fine with any replacement as long as it is the same or similar to what you already have.
If you are going to an electrical fan, they cool much better at lower RPMs because they are not run off your engine speed.
Electrical is the only way to go man. And with a toggle switch, it is very simple to install and use only when needed (like at the track) ![[burnout]](graemlins/burnout.gif)

A flex fan might pull more air than the stock ford fan, the blades are usually more agressive than a fixed blade fan. The advantage of a flex fan is that the blade flatens out as RPM increases, the disadvantage is that they are really noisy and f-in sharp as hell(be real careful installing one). If you wanna stick with a mechanical fan go for a fixed blade with a clutch. Hope this helps

What would be considerd a good cfm on an electric fan (reminder i dont have much room)

Just get the biggest one you can fit. My bro has a perma cool on his '68 works pretty good. Get one that covers as much of the radiator as possible. http://www.perma-cool.com/Catalog/Cat_page16.html
I think he bought the 16" but you'll want to measure for your car. Make sure the rest of the cooling system is in good shape too bolting on a new fan isnt a cure all. Hope this helps!
