i heard through fostang that when he ran an e- cam with 1.7 he got more lift but i fogot what he said it was...just wondering if anyone else was running the same set up..and would it fit stock hight valve covers?

Use the stated lift for the E cam w/ 1.6 rocker and divide by 1.6. Then multiply the result by 1.7- ta-da!

It is .498 with the stock 1.6 ratio rocker.it is .528 lift with a 1.7 ratio rocker.

if you want to get it down to the last deciamal point the yes............but an easy way in the futre is add about 30 thous. to a rocker ratio jump

kool..thanks for the tips guys....now with eaither the 1.6 or the 1.7 work on the edelbrock 6025 heads (2.02/1.60)

edelbrock 6037(1.90/1.60) heads,e-cam,and 1.6 rollers......and switch the 1.6's to 1.7 will it clear and if sooo how much difference would be noticed

depends on what kind of 1.7's
cobra kind will but will need to remove the oil fill baffle.

well i dont have stock valve covers i got the black ford racing ones...will i be able to use the same push rods from the 1.6

fostang what was your setup and what brand(crane/cobra) of 1.7 should i get to clear the stock hight valve covers?

It's not about the height it's about the ribbing on the aluminum valve covers.

well the valve covers are pretty thin and dont have that plate inside that the stock ones have??
