I am swapping in a t-5 in my 1990 5.0 automatic. I have been told that installing the qluthc quadrant is a B!TCH. Is there any way to use the original quadrant made for an automatic? If not then is do you have any tips on installing it? oh yeah any one need a rebuilt auto with overdrive?

You need the entire pedal assembly from a manual car. You cannot re-use the stock auto pedals.

Swapping the pedal assemblies is WAY more of a bitch than popping on a quadrant on a car that already has the manual pedals

The pedals arent bad at all, just drop the steering column and take out the driver seat. I have done it without taking the seat out but its not worth it. Stick the quadrant on the new pedal assembly and put it in place...only 5 or 6 bolts hold the pedal assembly in. A really long extention helps a lot too. If you need someone to do it, or the pedal assembly PM me.
I might be interested in your tranny also. Is it an AOD? lmk. [ February 20, 2005, 09:43 PM: Message edited by: SilverLX351 ]

If you haven't already put the pedals in just put the quadrant on before putting in the manual pedals. Piece of cake. That's what I did.
