94 mark viii 4.6litre new water pump and 2new thermostats seems like thermostat aint opening is it my bad luck,again any ideas to chill my cobra lincoln out thanx

If your thermostate is not opening you can try pouring hot water down the radiator hose that goes to your thermostate and if that dosent work u might have air bubbles and in that case you could try jacking up the front of your car and letting it run to purp out the bubbles. But maybe you already tried these things, but they work for me

Is your heater working? If not this could be another sign that it is not opening.

whenever I have to dump my rad coolant, I fill up the rad and start the car with the rad cover off, and have a hose standing by to fill it up once the car warms up, the t-stat will open, and it will begine drinking water like crazy

chilled out, first two thermos were aftermarket third one was a charm and fordmotorcraft piece. thanx for all the tips.i do body&paint work for a living also on the slide
