I currently have a Vert with 347, tw ported, holley intake, 30#ers w/75mm meter, bbk cai, and a tremec tranny and flowmaster catback. I wanted some info on selecting a cam, gears and the rest of the exhaust. I want to get the most power I can N/A. Compression 10.8 to 1. Smog is a concern for cam but not exhaust.

What type of driving do you plan on doing with this car, drag or just street driving or what?...

Gears is gonna be upto how much horse power, power band and most of all what you plan on doing with the car...You wont want 4.56's if its your daily driver...

As for exhaust you pretty much restricted to some nice FRPP 1 5/8 shorties and a hi-flo catted H if you wanna keep it smog legal...

After you let us know your plans for your car, I'm sure the "cam guru's" on this site help you with your cam choices... [Big Grin]

I would suggets the comp cams xe274hr for the cam and then some 3.73 gears. If your worried about smog you've gotta get shorties and a catted x or h pipe. If not get some 1 3/4 longtubes and a shorty h pipe.

I know the XE274 will, at least it did in my 331. I am sure somebody here has tried a stage 2 on the smog machine before
