Just purchased a triple black vert, was wonderin what would be the best exhaust set-up? Or maybe just h-pipe/muffler setup?

If your looking for the "best quiet" exhaust, I'd go with a x-pipe w/cats and Borla XS mufflers.

How loud/agressive do you want it?
catted X with Borla XS mufflers sounds nice but is quiet may be too quiet for you but I loved the tone and sound
dr gas X with spintechs is LOUD hahaa that's what I'm runnin right now
Bassani is nice but expensive, so is Borla
How about magnaflows with an offroad X pipe? Not too expensive, should be nice and deep, but not tooo loud or too quiet

I was kind of leaning for a mac h, as far as cat-back, I havnt thought of that too much yet. Some of these damn x-pipes are killer expensive.

I just put the o/r Dr Gas X and spintech side exhaust on my 94 and love it. It sounds wicked and I don't get the 2 grand drone at all. Idle sounds great and it sounds the best when I stab the throttle. The only problem I have is the elbow pipe to ground clearance. Which is getting fixed first thing Monday morning. Also the nuts and bolts that were supplied to mount the tips were of poor quality and snapped right off under little pressure. I just welded those on. All in all I love it and it sounds awesome. I had the pro streets dumped before and those were fuckin loud. I get the same sound outside the car without the drone.

I have bbk headers(equal lenght), with a bbk o/r x pipe, and a mac catback, and it sounds good, I just have a lot of fucking exhaust leaks. But you should hear it sometime. [ February 14, 2005, 08:21 PM: Message edited by: Infamous5.0 ]
