At the front of the motor unbolt the crank position sensor. You'll find it above the stock crank pulley. The timing adjuster will bolt into the stock location of the crank position sensor. Than simply bolt the stock crank position sensor onto the timing adjuster. Than start the car and set the timing advance. Most timing adjusters list 0- a certain degree. 0 being a stock timing curve, and anything added being additional degree's on top of stock. Work extra timing in slowing, a degree or two at a time. Drive it and have someone listen who knows what pinging sounds like. If your not careful you'll be buying a new motor if you add too much timing. You will also need to install the new exciter ring for the relocation of the crank sensor. This is done in different ways depending on your kit. In case you don't have the instructions...

It's pretty easy. Also, don't forget, when you add timing, you'll more than likely need to start running 91 octane to help reduce detonation. [ January 30, 2005, 09:43 PM: Message edited by: wilit ]

Man, if you're going to run that big of a shot, you're not going to want to run any timing. In fact, you'll want to pull timing out of it. Especially with your PI swapped motor. Don't forget, you're running more compression because of the PI heads than a stock motor. [ January 30, 2005, 11:26 PM: Message edited by: wilit ]

Ya unless it's one of the newly designed kits i would be be conservative w/ the timing when using the N20 at first.
Haven't done too much research on the N20 stuff but i believe they are coming out with better and better kits for fuel injection.
Don't forget about your plugs

I'm sure he was joking since he's expecting the thing to blow with the squeeze and advanced timing.
