I moved the battery back to the engine compartment and now the car will not start. I think it has to be fuel pumps because I can not here them go on. I have 2 inline 255lph pumps. Everything works car turns over just no fuel. I tried resetting the button in trunk and checked fuses in engine compartment. Any ideas?

the biggest problem i have read about with doing that is ensuring that you have suffient grounding points for both the battery and the frame, and block... so check your grounds, connections, and terminals on the battery

I am actually moving the battery back to the engine compartment. All accesories work, headlights, interior lights, radio and it turns over. Just wont start. I can not hear fuel pumps coming on. I checked fuse and it is fine. Do inline pumps have a seperate ground or power?

were did you run the the cable to. check all the conection by where the battery was. actual there is two little black wire that used to conect to the battery ground make sure those get grounded cause if they are not your thef light will stay on when you try to start it. it you see your theft light on when you try to start it that is your problem

With that current setup, you will have to re-wire your ENTIRE fuel pump wiring system to move the battery. Whoever set that up series the relays, the wiring, and the pumps directly off that battery. [Frown]

Fuel pump relay is a common culprit, although I'm not sure how changing the battery around could be the problem. My friend dropped his tank, replaced the 255 in tank pump and added a brand new T-rex, only to find later that it was a $40 relay at fault.
