When car is idling at a stop it starts to blow out white smoke through the passenger side fender gap where it meets the hood. Also, it'll be at 700-900 rpm and then drop to 400 rpm and after about 50 times doin that, it dies. I think its the Air check valve hose that droops down next to the header. I think the exhaust burnt up the bottom of the hose and made a whole so its not recirculating unburnt gases to be burnt again. Any help? if i were to replace that hose what would keep it from burning again? i was thinking some flame retardent heat wrap like they use on headers or just bend it upwards...i dunno. any help would be much appreciated. thanks
