I want to lower my GT. I don't want it slammed. But, I do want noticeable drop. Like, an 1 1/4" at most 1 1/2". If it helps, I drive on the freeway a lot, and occasionally like to take corners hard.
Do any of you prefer any springs and/or coilovers?
Thanks.

The eibach pro-kit sounds about right for what you want....do not get the sportline..it will slam the car.

I have to disagree with you on the sportlines. They didn't slam my car.
I'm running sportlines. The one thing that a recommend if your going to drop your car is to get adj. Tokiko's or whatever to go along with it.

Seems like sportlines will slam foxes but not sn95s since they sit naturally higher.

i think sportlines or maybe just eibach in general sucks. my sportlines lowered my 94 like everyone elses but after a lot of aggressive driving, my car got lower and lower. now it is pretty slammed. every mustang seems to look a little different with sportlines.

Get H&Rs. I've heard nothing but good, and depending on the springs, they will drop it slightly to almost on the tires.

I have Steeda Sportlines with Tokico HP Blues. No complaints on my part. Over all I believe the drop was somewhere between 1.25 to 1.5 inches. Take a look in the photo album. Page 13ish I believe. There are before and after pics.

If you got the cash go coilover, you will be much happier in the long run. Its nice being able to tune your suspension to your driving style, not what someone suggests.

I have the Eibach prokit, and a beat the piss out of my car when I can, and my car hasnt done the extra lowering manuver like his has...
hey, bunchmyfunky, how is the ride on those springs? I bought them used from a member here for cheap.
I'm just gonna go up from the 245/45's to the 275's that were standard on 03/4 cobras

My vote is FMS "b" springs.
I have those along with bilstein shocks/struts on my foxbody and it rides great and was only lowered approx. 1.5" in the front, less in the rear.

It rides good with the adj shocks. It was a little rough with the stock ones.

I am thinking about coilovers. Who makes a good front and rear set for my GT?

Sorry thought i was posting about another matter.....but since i had Sortlines w/ Tokico "blues" i'll let you know that i had no complaints about the ride being too stiff or too bouncy.
Obviously it wil be naturally from the lowering but nothing too severe.
But then again i like having my cars on the low side so i can tolerate a little more sacrifice of civility for looks and performance!

Oh, I know they are a bitch to level. I helped my friend Geoff install coilovers on his 93 VR4.
It took us a couple tries to get it right. Because we would have one corner too high or one too low.
