I got an 89gt with a fully built motor and looking to upgrade my k-member. not that it matters, but it's a d.s.s. 331 forged kit with 185 afr's, edelbrock performer intake, 70mm t-body, 24 lbs. injectors, 75mm mass, 1.6 rollers, custom ground cam, mac cold air, pulleys, electric fan, bassani x w/cats, hooker ceramic coated equal length shorties, tremec tko 500 with steeda tri-ax shifter, spec stage 2, 4.10's w/ auburn posi, cobra rear brakes, and more. I just hit 1100 miles on the motor and getting ready to dyno. Anyway, I'm looking into a full steeda suspension but need some suggestions on a k-member. I have maximum motorsports, groundpounder, and griggs in mind but need some suggestions. My setup will be intended for road race but occasional 1/4 mile. Any help would be great. stroked50@tmail.com----- Also, have a friend getting rid of a gt40 intake for $300 with less than 2000 miles on it. I might pick it up so my edelbrock will be for sale. The upper on my edelbrock is polished- make an offer if interested.

I'd suggest either Griggs or Maximum Motorsports. Anything else doesn't have the geometry improvements or R&D time spent building the parts. I am not a fan of Steeda's parts for the most part. Both above mentioned companies make quality parts. If I had to decide between them GRIGGS [patriot]

ive heard that griggs has a problem with their k members breaking so i would go with maximum motorsports cause a friend of mine was not pleased with the d&d components

I only buy Maximum Motorsports but Griggs would be a good alternative. The groundpounder is for drag racing, think you wanna stick with the above 2.

I have the D&D and I've loved it, but I use mine for street driving and drag race. Handles like a dream now... granted I've never driven anyone elses car which had suspension upgrades but I know I can hang corners much easier.

maximum and griggs are both pretty pricy, but I'd rather spend more and get better. My car will be daily driven but will see the 1/4 mile and maybe some road course. I just want an all out suspension that can do a little of both 1/4 and road).

I read in racingsouthwest.com forums that Griggs recommend replacing their K-members after a few months because they break or bend. I suppose its due to the lack of bracing in the rear of the k-member. M/M is most likely the best built but gives up the weight savings.

Hmm post a link for that info. I've never seen that before from their K-members
