Alright I know the more offset there is, the more the wheel is gonna sit away from the car. But I don't know the limits for the 99-04 Mustang (Dont know if Offset limits will be same for 94+) I was considering getting a set of 17x7.5 (i'm more of a corner carver than drag racer) so they could mount on my 245/45/17s but the offset is in the low +40's. My current wheels are the bullitts. My question is

1) Will there be any complications with mounting a 245/45 on a 17x7.5

2) What will be the result if I mount the wheels and tires on my car (2004 mustang gt) considering the offset is high

3) What offset range should I be looking for wheels in (+23 to +30 or what, etc.)

You can run a 245 on a 17x7.5

Why a 7.5" rim and not a 9"? Wider is better especially in corner carving. If I had a 94+ I would run a 9" rim all around with 275s.

The offset is probably higher because the width of the wheel is smaller.

Not to hi-jack the thread, but I have 17x9's all around and was wondering about getting 255/40's up front and 275/40's in the rear. I'm not going to do any aggressive road racing, but I'd like to be able to hug the road and do some corner carving on occasion

thx man!

I really like the design of the wheels and my bad, they're 17x8's but offset is whats driving me nuts. What's the big offset gonna do to my car? And I really wanted 17x9's and 17x10.5 [Frown] but then wouldn't that mean I need new tires to match the width? Thanks ALOT for helping me.

Also does anyone know where to get slim lugnuts (tuner lugs) for cheap pickup in Cali
